Staff has fantastic support from management and human resources,” writes one employee of this electric and natural gas company. “Our company pays fair wages and actually cares about its staff and having work/life balance.” What Jobseekers Want At the end of December, Novorésumé, a company that offers résumé templates for customers, published the results of a survey of 5,579 jobseekers about their experiences looking for work. n The most popular platform to look for jobs was LinkedIn, with 75.4% saying that is the primary place they look for work. Almost 67% said they also use online job boards, and 64% of respondents said they use company websites to directly look for jobs. n More than half (or 56.7%) of jobseekers surveyed also look for jobs through referrals from friends and acquaintances, where 23.9% use job forums, 23.4% use career events, 18.9% use Facebook, 17% work with recruiters, 15.3% use newspaper job listings, 13.6% attend networking events, 12.8% use offline job ads and 6.9% use local classifieds. n Asked what they value in potential employers, 60% of all respondents said diversity and inclusion are very important, 32% said it was important or slightly important, and only 8% said it’s not very important at all. n Forty-seven percent of jobseekers said the option to work remotely is very important to them, 41% said it’s important or slightly important, and 12% said remote work is not important to them at all. https://novoresume.com/career-blog/job-seeker-survey 38
