Living in Sunriver, Sunriver Style The Sunriver Women’s Club (SRWC) is a group of active, engaged and caring women who enjoy shared interests and are committed to making a difference in their community. There are more than 350 members from Sunriver, La Pine, Bend and beyond. While some live in the area full-time and others are part-time residents, most join looking for a supportive community after moving from another area. Joining the club is a great way to connect with new friends. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES SRWC has a variety of social activities that members enjoy including winter and summer outings, social events, luncheons with interesting speakers, book clubs, and many more designed for member interests. These activities offer many ways for members to connect with each other, to establish new relationships and strengthen existing ones. SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY SRWC hosts two major fundraisers throughout the year, the Sunriver Art Fair in August, and Art Meets Wine in the High Desert in May. These events generate funds for the Community Grant program with every dollar of Sunriver Women’s Club Photos courtesy of Sunriver Women’s Club profit supporting nonprofit agencies providing services to South Deschutes County. SRWC also has very successful direct donation campaigns. This year’s Hunger Prevention Fund raised more than $23,000 to address food insecurity.
