At the Nature Center, you can view an array of raptors, as well as other native wildlife species such as frogs, snakes, and turtles. Learn about the prominent ecosystems in Central Oregon and check out an amazing display of rocks from outer space! Be sure and check out the gift shop where you will find the perfect gift or souvenir for the space or nature lover in your life. Nature abounds here year-round! Lake Aspen is home to a multitude of bird life, including our family of Trumpeter Swans. On the islands, you may spot otters, beavers, deer, or even elk. The Sunriver community is an officially designated night skyfriendly development. This makes the Observatory the perfect place for stargazing and our talented astronomers will take you on a tour that highlights some of the most impressive objects in space. From crystal clear views of the moon and various planets to star clusters and nebulas, the observatory’s views will amaze first-time stargazers and amateur astronomers alike.
