Longtime Alliance member Ken Hall was recently honored with the Alaska Miner Association’s Golden Heart Service Award. The Golden Heart Service Award honors an individual active in AMA who has exemplified the spirit of advocating for Alaska’s miners. This award recognizes someone who has gone above and beyond to provide significant effort, expertise, or funding to an issue impacting Alaska’s miners and demonstrates a commitment to fostering the long-term viability of Alaska’s miners, for the benefit of all Alaskans. For his entire career, Ken Hall has served in positions in industry organizations, throwing in his time and talent to better Alaska. During the past 20 years, he has served, multiple times, as the President of the Fairbanks Alliance Chapter. He has also served several terms on the Statewide Board of the Alaska Support Industry Alliance. In this capacity, he’s been a tireless advocate for resource development issues: attending public hearings, testifying on behalf of Alaska’s oil, gas and mining industries, writing legislators about critical issues facing these industries, working to defeat ballot measures that would harm these industries, interacting on a regular basis with Alaska’s congressional delegation to educate them on issues facing oil, gas and mining in Alaska. “I believe in responsible development of our resources, and they are key to a healthy economy creating a place where future generations can afford to live and raise a family,” Ken has said often. He has always been a leader, whether he actually holds an official title or not, he has been involved in membership recruitment, ensuring excellent attendance at events and serving as the emcee for most Alliance events in Fairbanks over a 20 year period — and always with a great attitude, a joke, a smile and enthusiasm for the task at hand. Everyone that knows Ken Hall knows that his attitude and personality are infectious, and his presence in every room, on every committee, makes lives easier and people happier. www.AlaskaAlliance.com 45 Ken Hall honored by AMA Serving all of Alaska since 1958 TEMSCO Helicopters, Inc PO Box 5057 Ketchikan, Alaska 99901 Phone 907-225-5141 • fax 907-225-2340 • www.TemscoAir.com HELICOPTERS, INC.
