To improve virtual access to health care reforms sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic, TRICARE continues to support telehealth policies. To follow are telehealth updates. Also monitor updates at Tricare.mil/About/Changes. • Since July 1, 2022, TRICARE has permanently covered audio-only telemedicine visits. This means everyone – including those without access to live, two-way audio and video technology – will continue to have access to telehealth services. Contact your TRICARE provider for more details. • Cost-shares and co-payments have been reinstated for TRICARE telehealth services. Telehealth costs are like in-person care costs. Your costs depend on your beneficiary category, health plan and appointment type. Active duty service members (ADSMs) do not pay out-of-pocket costs. Active duty family members (ADFMS) who have a TRICARE Prime plan do not pay unless they use the Point-Of-Service (POS) option. • To find a provider who offers telemedicine services, use the Find A Doctor tool at Tricare.mil/FindDoctor. To find a provider, click All Provider Directories in the Find Doctor column on the left. Keep in mind that not all services are available through telemedicine. So, it’s important to check with your provider to see which options are available to you. • Referral or pre-authorization may apply for your telemedicine visit. Reach out to your TRICARE contractor to confirm at Tricare.mil/Partners. HEALTH CARE It is still important to follow CDC guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
