In less than three hours on Sunday morning, more than 2,000 Navy and Marine service people lost their lives. Currently, the Pearl Harbor Complex consists of a number of commands including Commander, Naval Base Pearl Harbor, Naval Station, Naval Shipyard/Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, and the Naval Medical and Dental Clinics. Just outside the base are the headquarters of the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Joint Intelligence Center Pacific and the Personnel Support Activity Detachment (PSD). To reach Pearl Harbor from Downtown Honolulu, take H1 West past the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) to the “Hickam/Pearl Harbor” exit.
