However, the rules of the road are likely different than those in your previous state or country of residence. VEHICLE REGISTRATION Within 30 days of your privately owned vehicle’s (POV) arrival on the island, you must register with the Hawaii Department of Motor Vehicles at any Satellite City Hall. With proper access, you may also schedule an appointment online for registration at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Satellite City Hall. If living on post, you must also register at your base’s Pass and Registration office immediately after arriving.
