NEEDS LITTLE introduction: He is an MLB veteran of 22 years, an inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame, an inspiring community leader, and an exemplary family man. Ken is also a wonderful friend. Ken—whose favorite nickname is, “The Kid”—was drafted by Seattle in 1987 where he soon met Alvin Goldfarb, and a lasting friendship between the two families quickly developed. “Ken would come by the store, often with him was his mother Birdie, his father Ken Sr., and always his best friend Frank. Ken was single and loved to talk sports, cars and golf” remembers Steven Goldfarb. “One particular day, the conversation turned in a different direction.
