When Ali Jordan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in 2008 at age thirteen, her life changed dramatically. Her family quickly connected with JDRF, the leading global organization advancing T1D research and advocacy. Since her diagnosis, Ali’s family has been actively involved, participating in the JDRF One Walk and supporting JDRF social events. Now a thriving young professional, Ali mentors youth with T1D. Her mother, Karen Jordan, serves on the JDRF Northern California Chapter Board, International Board of Directors and T1D Fund Board. Ali is set to be the Fund A Cure speaker at the upcoming JDRFTee to Table event at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay on May 3, 2024. This high-profile event features a golf, tennis, pickleball and culinary experience on the stunning California coast, benefiting JDRF and T1D research. Ali will share her story on behalf of the 1.5 million Americans and 9 million people globally living with T1D. The 2024 event will be celebrated with a Casino Royale theme and promises to be both memorable and impactful in the fight against T1D.
