Most people I know call me Aunty Bird; it is how we greet our Kupuna (elders) where I come from in Hawaii Nei where I was born. I have a deep connection to Mama Moana (ocean) because it is the legacy of all Hawaiians, and I honor her just as I honor my parents or other family members. She is a constant in my life. This is what I share with my many haumana (students) that come to me and want to learn how to SUP. Besides being a great sport, it is a spiritual endeavor and I highly recommend it to everyone! Age is not a factor. I take people of all ages on the water and each of them comes away walking taller, smiling wider and with a new appreciation of the gifts the ocean offers. I am available most weekends and some weekdays by appointment and can be reached on my cell phone, text or email. Equipment can be rented thru Mavericks Paddle Sports. Boards, paddles and wetsuits are all available through them. I will be available all winter as well. Hope to see some of you on the water! A Hui ho!
